No matter what your game, the vast expanse of water called Lake Constance seems to stretch forever. Fed by the Rhine River, this water body forms a border between Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. And it's ideal for all sorts of water-based activities—fishing, swimming, rowing, and scuba diving. And though it seems you're up against mountains almost everywhere in Switzerland, that's not the case here; for windsurfers and sailors, the wide-open space means a constant supply of winds sweeping across the lake. If getting wet's not your idea of fun, you can always stick to the shoreline instead—the 167-mile bike trail circling the lake is a popular excursion.
