Directions: About 5 miles S of Gardnerville (which is about 16 miles S of Carson City) on U.S. Highway 395.

Primary Wildlife: The main objective is producing the threatened Lahontan cutthroat trout. Each year the hatchery releases about 600,000 cutthroat into Pyramid and Walker Lakes.

Recreation and Education: The hatchery is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Environmental education tours are available by reservation.
