Top Ten Nepal Off-the-Beaten-Path AdventuresRaft the Marsyangdi
If monster waves, nonstop whitewater action, and enough adrenaline to last a lifetime are your idea of the perfect vacation, then forget the rest of Nepal's rivers and book a trip down the mighty Marsyangdi. This river drains the snowmelt of the Annapurnas and is packed with big waves and rapids that just won't let up. Not as commonly run as the Sun Kosi and not as remote as the Karnali, the Marsyangdi is really all about day after day of technical paddling. In other words, this river is not for the inexperienced. Trips, which usually run about a week, start from the same point as the Annapurna circuit trek. The Bhote Kosi makes a good warm-up for this trip.
