Ocean Pond
Located one mile north of Olustee and 12 miles east of Lake City on U.S. 90. Ocean Pond is a round, dish-shaped 1,774-acre body of water and offers largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, black crappie, warmouth and sunshine bass. Ocean Pond is not renowned for its bass fishing, but enjoyable trips can be had during the early spring. February and March are usually best. This lake will not produce many large fish, but good fishing can be enjoyed when fishing for the smaller bass. The best baits include green, purple and black artificial worms and small float-diving type plugs. Crappie fishing is fair during the winter months. The best method of fishing is to drift live minnows near the bottom.

Bluegill and redear fishing is poor. The most common baits used are live worms and crickets. Sunshine bass fishing is good from November through March. Most fish are taken while crappie fishing with live minnows. Ocean Pond has three brush-type fish attractors.
