Huacachina Boarding: Got Sand?
By Rob Rachowiecki
Huacachina
The village of Huacachina (Rob Rachowiecki)

You've skateboarded through traffic jams, snowboarded down razor-thin chutes, and surfboarded across monster waves—now take to the dunes with a sandboard! Almost 200 miles southeast of Lima, slap bang in the middle of the South American coastal desert, the village of Huacachina lies on a lake surrounded by palm trees and giant dunes of fine white sand. This oasis offers lakeshore shacks selling food and renting sand boards for a nominal fee. Drag the board up and whiz down, getting sand into body crevices you might have never otherwise known about!
