An exhilarating, 16,404-foot-long white-knuckle ride through snowy perfection: Switzerland's longest toboggan course lies roughly halfway between the high-profile resorts of Davos and St. Moritz. But this course, in the little-known, unassuming village of Preda, is half a world away from either. Starting along the road from the 7,583-foot-high Albula Pass, the toboggan course arcs down to the finish at Bergün (4,484 feet). If you dare lift your eyes for a moment from the smooth course before you, you'll be able to enjoy the sight of jagged peaks exceeding 10,000 feet ringed on either side.
