Pearl Lake State Park
Located in the mountains north of Steamboat Springs this park is known for its lush, serene setting. Hikers, campers, and fishers enjoy the calm scene, which includes towering pine trees, and a picturesque lake. A perfect break from the nine-to-five routine.

Directions: From Steamboat Springs, go west two miles on U.S. 40 to County Road 129, then turn right. Go north 23 miles to Pearl Lake Road, turn east and drive the final two miles to the park.

Steamboat Lake State Park
Majestic peaks, green valleys and colorful alpine wildflowers make this park picturesque year-round. With activities for all seasons—including ice fishing and cross-country skiing in the winter, and hiking in the summer—this is one of the most popular recreational parks in the Colorado. The campgrounds fill up fast in the summer months, so make your reservations early.

Yampa River
This public river stretches 172 miles and has eight public access areas (riverbanks) from which you can enjoy all this river has to offer. Elkhead Reservoir is available for camping and flat-water sports.
