Canoe the River Tay

Scotland's River Tay falls from wild mountains and wilder water down through gentle farm, forest, and estuary to the open sea. One of Britain's finest rivers for paddling, conditions on the Tay run the gamut, from whitewater suitable for experienced paddlers to stretches of easy paddling where you can relax and enjoy the scenery, tidal waters, and waves. On the estuarine stretch, where the waters become choppy and sea-like, seals pop up and will follow you for miles, while salmon frequently leap over your bow.
