Go Guide: Rampart Resevoir Mountain Bike Trail
Activities: Mountain biking

Age Levels:
9 and up

Hours from Denver: 1.75

Getting There: Take Interstate 25 south from Denver to Colorado Springs, then west on U.S. 24 (exit 141) for 18 miles to Woodland Park. Turn right on Baldwin Street and continue three miles to where the road splits. Bear right. Go a mile and a half to the Rampart Range Road, turn right and follow signs to the parking lot on the left.

Extra Treats: Take time to sit on the large smooth boulders on the north side of the lake. They make excellent chairs for viewing the mountains.

An ideal route for a family of cyclists with different abilities, this trail is on rolling terrain offering a roller-coaster tour of the reservoir and astonishing views of Pikes Peak to the southwest.

The easy to moderate trail is a gravel road and single track. Allow about three hours.
