Flower: The five lobes of the white flower, growing on a very short stalk, connect to the five stamens.
Average bloom season: June to July
Leaves and stems: The leaves and stems of this evergreen plant creep along the ground, creating small tufts.
Range in AT states: New England
Most likely AT locations: Near the summits of Mount Lafayette and Mount Washington in New Hampshire; on Saddleback, The Horn, and Saddleback Jr. in Maine.
