Sorry, but Bob is actually only partly correct. So is the headline on Fox or wherever.
The El Yunque is the only "tropical rainforest" in the US. The Hoh rainforest on the Olympic peninsula in WA is a "temperate rainforest". I have been fortunate to visit both.
So, while both of them are wonderful, the El Yunque rainforest is very unique and is also managed and well maintained by the NPS. I strongly recommend it.It is the closest thing to the Amazonian rain forest that you can get in the
