Greetings all,
I have wilderness backpacked for the past 58 years out of 62 from the Adirondacks to the Canadian Rockies to the San Juans. I used all of the latest equipment beginning with Army surplus onto Jansport and other backpacking equipment. I use a topo map and good compass and take my cell phone with me to be located by in emergencies. I always pack for 2 extra days out, carry a stove and fuel, dried food, water and 1st aid equipment. I carry clothing for any possible weather.
