Winthrop National Fish Hatchery
Directions: Located about 51 miles N of Chelan and about 36 miles S of the British Columbia border. From Winthrop, drive S on Highway 20 for 1/2 mile, cross bridge, and follow signs.
Primary Wildlife: About 1,250,000 chinook salmon are raised annually. Lesser numbers of rainbow, brook and cutthroat trout are raised.
Recreation and Education: Hatchery is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Environmental education tours can be arranged during weekdays.
