Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery
Directions: Located about 100 miles SE of Portland. The hatchery is surrounded by the Warm Springs Indian Reservation. From Warm Springs drive 14 miles N, past KahNeeTa Hot Springs Resort, to signed turn to hatchery.
Primary Wildlife: The hatchery rears about 1,200,000 spring chinook fingerlings annually. The adult chinook return to the hatchery in May. 15,000 rainbow trout are raised annually for release on the Reservation.
Recreation and Education: Hatchery is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Display and fish viewing are popular. Environmental education tours are available by reservation.
