Upper Buffalo Wilderness Overview
Located in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas.
This wilderness area contains 10,819 acres located in Newton County, Arkansas. The area features the headwaters of the Buffalo National River and rugged, steep terrain deep valleys and forested hills. The general location of this area is 28 air miles north of Clarksville, AR. There are no maintained trails, so be prepared to make your own way through this area.
