Hours: The visitors' center is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Thanksgiving and Christmas day. The park is open daily during daylight hours.
Fee: $2 for adults for a three-day pass; free for those 16 and under.

Although you'll find Civil War history here, you'll also find in-depth information about the history of the town and the region.

Hikes: The park includes 50 miles of trails. Check at the visitors' center for maps and times of ranger-led hikes.

Special Events

Annual special events traditionally occur around the anniversaries of the battles in July and August.

Directions to Next Stop

Manassas to Harpers Ferry: Total distance: 45 miles. Estimated driving time: one hour.

Turn right out of the park onto Sudley Rd.
Turn left onto U.S. 29.
Take I-66 West.
Take U.S. 15 North.
At Leesburg, take U.S. 15 West/VA 7 West toward Winchester.
Take VA 9-West toward Charles Town.
Turn right onto Rt. 671 (Harpers Ferry Rd.).
Turn left onto U.S. 340 South.
Turn left into Harpers Ferry National Historical Park.
