- The 11-mile Grand Circle Trail takes in nearly the entire park. It begins in the fee booth, crosses Calico Hills, enters Sandstone Quarry, touches White Rock's parking lot, heads for Willow Springs, and finally finishes at the visitor center.
- Since rock climbers discovered Red Rock Canyon in the 1970s, more than 2,000 climbing routes throughout the sandstone scarps have been mapped, attracting upwards of 100,000 climbers annually. Red Rock is widely considered the country's best winter climbing destination.
- Bike the park's paved 13-mile scenic loop. It's two lanes, but only one-way, so it's easy to pass and share with cars. Bring extra water, and watch for falling rock, wash debris, and stray gravel. The road gains 1,000 feet in elevation, almost all in the first five miles. Take care negotiating the switchbacks at the top, and then let it rip downhill back to the visitor center.
