Access: 1. From Colorado Springs, take 26th street to Gold Camp Road. Approximately 2 miles up Gold Camp Road is the trailhead.

Attractions And Considerations: Motorcycles. foot and horse trail. The trail is moderately difficult and is open to motorcycles which are very often seen on the trail.

Narrative: This is a heavily used trail, especially by motorcycles. It winds in and out of cool pine forests and offers scenic vistas of Colorado Springs. Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak and Gold Camp Road.

Length: 2.5 miles (4.0 km)
Difficulty: Moderate

Beginning Elev.: DR 370 7,000 ft End Elevation: FDR 380 7,800 ft

Special Considerations: It is recommended that motorcycles use this trail in summer months only because of snow depth.

Weather: Temperatures are similar to Colorado Springs. Afternoon thunderstorms are common throughout the summer.

Camping: Camping is permitted in undeveloped sites along the trail. Campfire permits are not required but please be sure your fire is dead out before you leave. Pack it in/ Pack it out rule applies.

Drinking Water: Drinking water is not readily available. Hikers are advised to carry an adequate supply. Water from streams should be treated before use.
