Annadel State Park is another sparkling singletrack gem, nestled away in the forested hills above vine-laden Sonoma County. Ever popular on the weekends, it's usually possible to find several lonely trails amid great natural beauty.

Use Route 101 from Santa Rosa and take the Route 12 exit toward Sonoma. Turn right onto Los Alamos Road and then Melita to the well-signed park. Lake Ilsanjo is the spiritual core of the park and most of the fun trails loop around the lake. The technical enthusiasts will be challenged on Two Quarry Trail, Rough Go, and Cobblestone. People looking for an easier time might enjoy the Channel, South Burma, and Marsh Trails.
