But great scenery and lodging kept this national park granddaddy in contention with the nation's best. How do you beat the crowds? One reader recommends visiting geyser basins early in the morning. It's Jurassic Park. No backpacking so you're car camping or lodging it. A lot fire damage. Unless you are really into geological features and photographing wildlife with 1000 other people, go to Glacier Montana.
