Mesa Verde's Morefield campground is one of the largest and most enjoyable campgrounds in the entire National Park System. A nearby store has gasoline, food items, snack bar, and shower facilities available for campers. Morefield campground, open early spring through late fall, has single and group campsites. Campsites for the physically impaired are available. All campsites have a table, benches, and grill. Gathering firewood or injuring trees and shrubs is prohibited.
