Located in the magnificent redwood forest between the Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National Park, this mountain getaway provides all the ingredients of a peaceful yet active vacation. The entire family will have opportunities to share experiences as well as "do their own thing." Open year-round, facilities include a private lake for boating, waterskiing, and fishing, as well as tennis courts, a horse stable, hiking and biking trails, rocksliding, riflery, crafts, heated swimming pool, hot tub, cross-country skiing, and ice skating.

The accommodations provide a great opportunity for a real camp-style experience. Thirteen rustic, one-room, windowed cabins contain a king or queen-sized bed and two to three sets of bunk beds. Linens are not provided for the bunk beds, so bring sleeping bags and towels for everybody. Although cabins do not have running water or plumbing, there is electricity and ceiling fans to help blow the cool mountain air around. Nearby bathhouses provide toilets and shower facilities. Additionally, four lodge buildings contain 30 rooms with private baths where 2 to 6 people are accommodated in a combination of beds and bunks. All linens and towels are provided, as is limited maid service.

Supervised activities for children are divided into six age groups ranging from 2 to 17 years. Activities for the youngest children include dock walks, creative play, pony rides, swimming, story and nap time, and nature hikes. Although there is no organized program for children under 2, there is a special Infant Play Yard full of toys and infant paraphernalia where parents and babysitters can bring babies to play and make friends.

The rates include accommodation, all meals and programs (except for horseback riding and water skiing), and range from $2,460 to $2,840 for a family of four for 6 nights, with a reduction for children under 23 months.
