If you haven't stayed in a floating cabin lately, or, more likely, ever, here is your opportunity. The resort consists of a row of floating shake-sided cabins, bunkhouses, and support buildings attached to huge cedar logs that float near the shoreline of scenic Ross Lake. All of the lodging units are connected by a wooden walkway. The resort offers lodging options that range from bunkhouses to large modern cabins. All offer private bathrooms and kitchens with pots, pans, plates, and utensils. There is no food service of any kind at or near the resort, so guests must bring all of their own food. Access is only via boat with transportation information available on the resort website. Season: mid-June through October; Rates: $128 to $270 depending on cabin size; $195 for bunkhouse that holds up to six people.
