Hunting is permitted in Stelvino, and visitors should be careful in fall, when the bullets are flying. At other times of the year the park is heavily visited, though safer, and the park's many ski lodges can be jammed in wintertime.The town of Bormio, where the park's headquarters are located, offers lodging and several good restaurants; camping is permitted throughout the park.
