White Mountains National Recreation Area
TRAIL BEGINS: Milepost 28 Elliott Highway Starting at the Summit Trail (2,200 feet), the trail climbs for one mile to an overlook at 2,660 feet. On a clear day, one can view the Alaska Range and occasionally Mt. McKinley from this overlook. The trail then descends into a forested saddle for another mile. At the trail junction, follow the right trail for 1.5 miles to connect with the Wickersham Creek Trail. Once on the Wickersham Creek Trail, it is 1.5 miles back to the parking area.
