Sure, you've been over Trail Ridge Road, but when was the last time you took the whole family on a hike through gorgeous, breathtaking?

Sky's the limit at
Rocky Mountain National Park

This 1.6-mile trail zigzags up the south side of a moraine, passing several life zones. An aspen forest gives way to lodge pole pines as the trail ascends. From the northwest shore of the lake is a fabulous photo-op: majestic Long's Peak.

The trail is easy or moderate, but very little ones might be asking for a ride on Mom's or Pop's shoulders halfway through. Take this trail in the morning or late afternoon. Midday can be a bit hot.
