It's all about great views: Desert View Drive (Highway 64) follows the canyon rim for 26 miles east of Grand Canyon Village to Desert View, the east entrance to the park.

A gorgeous 44-mile-long stretch of road, the Kaibab Plateau-North Rim Parkway begins at Jacob Lake, travels through the Kaibab National Forest, and ends with the small lakes and high Alpine meadows at the North Rim of the Canyon.

Glen Canyon's Burr Trail is 67 miles of rugged back road that provides amazing views of the Henry Mountains, Waterpocket Fold, Red Circle Cliffs, and Long Canyon.

Don't forget the camera when you hit the Kaibab NF. Bull Basin Road, Government Prairie Road, and Spring Valley Road all offer breathtaking views of diverse forest land coupled with towering mountains and deep canyons.

Take to the road along the edge of Lake Mead. From these stretches of pavement you'll get panoramic views of the blue lake set against a backdrop of the browns, blacks, reds, and grays of the desert mountains. Northshore Scenic Drive also leads through areas of brilliant red boulders and rock formations.
