Glen Canyon National Recreation Area Highlights

• Lees Ferry campground has 54 designated sites and is located about a mile and a half from the ramp on the Colorado River. Bring your tent stakes, as this area can get very windy. Lees Ferry is well-known for launching river raft trips through the Grand Canyon Gorge.
• Lake Powell Shoreline primitive camping is allowed anywhere along the shore outside the developed areas. Campers must pack out all trash and must have a portable toilet or toilet facilities on their vessel. Water levels of the lake determine which areas are available for camping, but on average there are about 150 miles of shoreline camping usually available. There are no fees.
• Bullfrog has both a large developed campground with 78 sites that include all amenities as well as primitive camping areas with no facilities except pit toilets. Make sure you check on the water levels because if the water level is too low, closures may occur in the primitive camping areas.
• Wahweap Marina has the largest camping facility on Lake Powell. Tent and RV facilities are available as well as all amenities including, showers, toilets, charcoal grills, and tables. The National Park Service Amphitheater offers educational programs several times a week in the summer.
• Hite, Stanton Creek, Farley Canyon, and Dirty Devil areas have several primitive camping sites. Much of the quality of these campsites depends on the water levels, and at times they can be closed due to drought, so make sure you check in advance.
