The Cathew Trail
Travels from Cameron Lake to Waterton townsite over Carthew summit, a delicate alpine stretch. Good choice if you want to see the Waterton high country.

Bertha Lake
Through a rapidly changing forest, with interpretative displays along the way, to a far-seeing overlook. Then past a series of waterfalls to Bertha Lake.

Altitude change: Climb 1480 feet; lose 170

Crypt Lake
Steepish, adventuous trail to high Crypt Lake. Not for the fainthearted.

Vimy Peak
From Waterton Lake to the top of Vimy Peak. Scenic.

Lineham Falls
A spin up Lineham Creek to a 410 foot waterfall
Trailhead: Marked pullout off of Cameron Lake Road

Rowe Lakes
A rambling trail offering lots of diversion. Interesting meadow and lake environments, as well as superb views.
Trailhead: East bank of Rowe Creek on the Cameron Lake Road

The Tamarack Trail
Offers a chance to see the most remote areas of Waterton Lake Park. Beautiful forests and alpine areas.

Blakiston Valley
Offers chance to connect with the Tamarack Trail and Kootenai Pass
Trailhead: Redrock Canyon parking lot

Altitude change: Climb 2170 feet; lose 120 feet.

The Snowshoe Trail-Twin Lakes
Travels from Red Rock Canyon to high alpine lake. Interesting range of environments: grasslands, mixed forest, Douglas fir forests.

Distance: 7.1 miles
Level: Moderately strenuous
Altitude change: Climb 1640 feet; lose 70 feet

Lost Lake-Avion Ridge
An unmaintained trail that leads to Goat Lake; remote, far out views, interesting environment including a larch forest.
Trailhead: Snowshoe campground, at junction with Snowshoe Trail
Distance: 5 miles
Level: Moderately strenuous
Altitude change: Climb 2400 feet; lose 1520 feet.

A pretty, popular trail to Goat Lake
Trailhead: Begins at Snowshoe Trail
Distance: 6.9 miles

The Oil Basin Loop
Follows a series of grassy valleys along the edge of the open prairie. For grassland lovers.
Trailhead: Beings as gravel road along northern edge of bison paddock
