If you want more speed than your two feet can provide, biking the trails is the way to go. Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado can challenge or soothe you, depending on which trail you choose. But its location near Denver screams convenience and the vistas are reward enough for climbing above 14,000 feet. "Bicycle Town," otherwise known as Missoula, Montana, is another stellar base for Rocky Mountain cycling. The summer weather is ideal, the town is full of bike shops and clubs, and the trails offer a variety of challenges. The best part? When you're done, you can have a microbrew in one of Missoula's many brewpubs.
