Family - North-Central Colorado

With more than 200 urban parks, fun with the family in Denver is never far away. You can float down Clear Creek, seek out ancient animals along Dinosaur Ridge, or just relax on Colorado's Front Range.

Some ski resorts know how to treat a kid, and that makes for happy parents. Take the family to Vail for first-rate facilities for the whole family.

When it's cold outside and your family is facing cabin fever, there's no better Colorado excursion than Rocky Mountain National Park. A bonus surprise is that many of RMNP's hiking trails are accessible in the winter. Bundle up and marvel at the views!

Take mom on a hike along the Colorado Trail. This challenging trail begins just west of Denver and is the perfect way to catch up on time gone by, step by step.

Take the kids to see the whistle pigs. In Roosevelt National Forest, the yellow-bellied marmot, or whistle pig, lets out a sharp scream when frightened or in danger, which makes them fan favorites in the forest.
