Soda Springs Ranger District

Swan Lake - Small natural lake formed by travertine water deposits. Unique geological and vegetative features and natural wildlife area.

Lander Trail - On the National Register of Historical Places. First government-built wagon road in the west. Used by wagon trains as a cutoff from the Oregon Trail to the California gold fields.

Caribou Mountain Historical Area - Location of two ghost towns and several gold mines. Nothing remains of the ghost towns of Caribou City and Keenan City, but it is still an interesting area.

Blackfoot River - Blue Ribbon cutthroat trout fishing area, a tributary of the Blackfoot Reservoir, also known for its excellent fishing.

Diamond Creek - Tributary of Blackfoot River and spawning area for cutthroat trout. This is also a great recreation area.

Wooley Valley, Maybe Canyon, and Smokey Canyon Mines - Large open pit mines for phosphate ore.
