DIRECTIONS TO REFUGE: Located 25 miles south of Charleston, SC. Take U.S. Hwy 17 to S.C. Hwy 174, follow S.C. 174 through Adams Run, SC, and turn right at flashing caution light on to Willtown Road. Refuge entrance road is two miles from this intersection.

ENDANGERED & THREATENED SPECIES ON THE REFUGE: Wood stork, American alligator, peregrine falcon (fall only), bald eagle.

OTHER WILDLIFE SPECIES: Waterfowl (19 species), 13 species of wading birds, deer, turkey, fox squirrels.

HABITAT DESCRIPTION: Diverse habitat make-up of wetlands, early successional fields, uplands.

FOCUS ACTIVITIES: Wetland management for endangered species and migratory birds, and neo-tropical migrant habitat management. Assist in protection and enhancement of 350,000 acre ACE Basin Project.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR PUBLIC USE: Nature trails, deer hunting, waterfowl hunting, photography.
