Arches National Park Photo Gallery

Double Arch is one of more than 2,000 sandstone arches in Utah's Arches National Park. The park's landscape has been shaped over millions of years by weather and geologic forces, producing not only arches and natural bridges but spectacular rock formations too.  

Delicate Arch is the most famous and widely recognized of Arches National Park's 2000 sandstone arches. It is featured on a postage stamp and Utah's license plate, and the Olympic torch relay for the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City passed under it.  

Balanced Rock, one of Arches' most spectacular rock formations, showcases the delicate interplay of erosion and gravity on display throughout the park.

A bighorn sheep surveys the winter landscape in Arches. Once threatened with extinction, bighorn are making a comeback in the Desert Southwest thanks to succesful conservation efforts.
