Seattle Guide: Biking Within 25 - 150 miles
Seattle Highlights
- Banner Forest is a fun ride for those who like rolling hills and intermediate technical challenges.
- In the Woodinville/Redmond area, follow the Puget Power Trail, the Redmond Watershed, and the Tolt Pipeline Trail for an off-road romp that is 90 percent on dirt. No technical challenges on this ride.
- For great technical trails try riding at beautiful Lake Sawyer. Trails here stay fairly dry even in the rainy season; however, be prepared to walk if you can’t ride over trail obstacles.
- Skilled endurance riders can tackle a tough 33 miles on the Chikamin Ridge Epic ride. Usually open by mid-July, the route attracts strong riders who relish the smooth trail and even grades. Many cyclists will hike-a-bike up several series of switchbacks. The grueling 4,100-foot climb results in fantastic views.
