Quinault National Fish Hatchery
Directions: Located on the Quinault Indian Reservation about 45 miles N of Aberdeen. Drive N on U.S. Highway 101 to mile post 120 (Moclips Highway). Turn W on Moclips Highway and go 5 miles to hatchery sign.
Primary Wildlife: A combined total of 8 million chinook chum and coho salmon and steelhead trout are reared and released annually into the major rivers on the Quinault Indian Reservation and other coastal rivers as far north as the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
Recreation and Education: Visitors are welcome daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The best time to visit is from fall to mid-winter when adult fish are returning to the hatchery. The information center features Quinault Indian culture and is designed to give a comprehensive picture of the hatchery facility and how it fits into the total context of the Quinault Indian Reservation.
