Makah National Fish Hatchery
Directions: Located on the Sooes River about 8 miles S of Neah Bay. Follow the signs.
Primary Wildlife: Fall chinook salmon are the primary fish reared at the hatchery, along with smaller numbers of coho and chum salmon and steelhead trout.
Recreation and Education: Hatchery is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The best time to visit is in the fall; October and November are primary spawning months. Tours can be arranged.
