Lake of the Ozarks State Park
Lake of the Ozarks State Park Highlights
- A large four-section campground serves this huge state park, which offers something for everyone—not only for camping, but for other outdoor recreation too.
- Most of the 230 sites are set in woodland among rolling hills above Lake of the Ozarks. The majority have electricity and are reservable, but the park has limited services in winter.
- Summer is the most popular camping time, though it can be oppressively hot. Spring and fall have better weather.
- Tents and trailers are welcome, but most sites cater to big rigs. Shower houses, restrooms, and water spigots are well spread throughout the sizeable camping area.
- Campers will be hard pressed deciding what to do here: hiking, interpretive programs, cave tours, swimming, fishing, boating, horseback riding, and mountain biking are all offered at the park.
