Hudson Highlands State Park, an undeveloped preserve, offers a fishing and boating area. The park has 25 miles of hiking trails, including mountaintop trails with awesome views of the Hudson River and the Hudson Highlands Range. The Appalachian Trail runs through Hudson Highlands State Park.
Directions
Taconic State Parkway to Route 301, west to Route 9D, two miles south of Beacon.
Hunting
Bow hunting for deer and spring turkey hunting (shotgun only) is permitted in season with a valid New York State hunting license and park permit.
Pets
Household pets only, caged or on a leash not more than ten feet long.
