Fluttershy  rates Gifford Pinchot National Forest
The Gifford Pinchot NF is full of amazing scenery! Mount St Helens and Mount Adams, at 12,281 feet, is the second highest mountain in the Northwest. These volcanoes are a jewel of the GPNF. The Goat Rocks Wilderness is a eroded volcano, and offers a rugged hiking experience. The GPNF is famous for its huckleberries--find them in the Sawtooth Huckleberry Fields near the Indian Heaven Wilderness. The Dark Divide Area, is made up of craggy ridges, wildflower meadows, and ancient forests. Visit Takhlakh Lake for the best views of Mt. Adams. Many great campgrounds in the forest have a real "wilderness" feel, and offer solitude on a new scale. So if you're tired of crowded trails, campgrounds, or roads in the Mt. Hood NF, then come here instead. Let the Gifford Pinchot surprise you with its stunning scenic beauty and rustic tranquility.
