Ellicott Slough National Wildlife Refuge
Directions: Located 4 miles W of Watsonville on San Andreas Road.
Primary Wildlife: The refuge and adjacent State of California Ecological Reserve were established to preserve the habitat of the endangered Santa Cruz long-toed salamander.
Habitat: 130 acres of coastal uplands. Adjacent Ecological Reserve contains a vernal pond.
Recreation and Education: Refuge is closed to public access.
