Eagle River

The Eagle River offers exciting raft trips, just off Interstate 70 at the town of Wolcott. The river flows by colorful canyons of red, yellow, and pale brown sandstone dotted with pinion and juniper woodlands and verdant cottonwood groves along the river's edge.

This exciting river trip is 8 miles and takes 3-4 hours to run. Its BLM access point in Wolcott has a boat launch, fishing, camping, and toilet facilities for overnight visitors. Much of the river traverses privately owned land, and public access sites are limited. Boaters can exit the river on public land at the Eagle City Park.

Access
The major public access sites are the Wolcott put-in sites off old U.S. Highway 6, 1 1/2 miles w. of Wolcott and the Eagle City Park.
