Anaho Islands National Wildlife Refuge
Directions: Located in Pyramid Lake within Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation. Reached by Highway 33 from Sparks or Highway 34 from Wadsworth.
Primary Wildlife: Anaho Island has one of the largest white pelican nesting colonies in North America, as well as cormorant, great blue heron, and gull nesting colonies.
Habitat: An island in Pyramid Lake in the Great Basin.
Recreation and Education: Closed to public entry to protect wildlife. Contact refuge manager for information.
