The Swiss take their conservation measures seriously, and nowhere is that more evident than in the Swiss National Park, a protected area extending for 105 square miles in the southeast corner of Switzerland. You can't bike and you can't camp in this delicate environment. You can, however, hike (as long as you stick to the marked paths), and there are a couple of lodges for accommodations. While you're exploring, keep an eye out for marmots, bearded vultures, ibex (with their huge curved horns), and the nimble chamois.
