Surrounded by the gleaming peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, Huascaran offers not only a challenging climb but incredible views as well. Various routes are used, but all demand high-altitude climbing skills, knowledge of crevasse rescue, and a commitment of several days. Come prepared! June through August are the best months. Certified climbing guides can be hired in Huaraz.
