Trek the Dolomiti
By Valerio Diotto

Some call the Dolomites the most beautiful mountains in the Alps. When the rays of the setting sun hit the pink rocks, seemingly setting everything ablaze, it's hard not to agree. From June to September, visitors can cross the Brenta massif along the 2000- to 3000-meter via delle Bocchette. There are four refuges along the trail, which takes two to three days to traverse in its entirety. Though you don't have to be an experienced climber—an iron rope runs along the path and ladders are provided in the hardest points—a harness is recommended to secure yourself. Start this route at the cableway from Madonna di Campiglio to Groste Pass.
