Located in the Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada.

The Arc Dome wilderness comprises the southern one-third of the Toiyabe Range and lies 45-70 miles north of Tonopah which is centered around Arc (Toiyabe) Dome. In Nevada at 11,788 feet Arc Dome is the third highest peak on the Toiyabe NF and the seventh highest peak in Nevada. The area is accessible by improved dirt roads from all sides, and lies within three miles of both State Highway 21 and State Highway 376. Popular access points are Cow Canyon Trail up Reese River on the west side, Tom's Canyon Trail out of Peavine Canyon on the South side, North and South Twin Creeks on the east side, Toiyabe Crest Trail at Ophir Summit on the north side and Stewart Creek Trail out of Columbine Campground on the northwest side. The area is distinguished by rugged, high elevation topography heavily dissected by canyons and washes. Popular fishing streams within the Wilderness include Reese River, South Twin Creek, and North Twin Creek. Lahonton Cutthroat Trout occur in Reese River and Stewart Creek. Across the backbone of the wilderness lies the Toiyabe Crest Trail, designated as a National Recreation Trail.
