Directions: Located 13 miles SE of Colville Washington. Follow Highway 20, E from Colville approximately 6 miles, turn S on county road (sign to Rocky Lake and State of Washington Wildlife Area), follow confusing but signed gravel roads approximatety 7 miles to headquarters. Nearly 200 miles of roads and trails are open to the public.

Primary Wildlife: Large mammals, including white-tailed deer, mule deer, elk, and black bear. Wide variety of bird life, principally upland and forest types.

Habitat: Mountainous forested area interspersed with grasslands encompassing approximatety 41,000 acres, elevations from 2,200 to 6,000 feet. There are scattered cultivated tracts, two small lakes and many miles of mountain streams.

Recreation and Education: Wildlife observation, study, and photography. Fishing for rainbow, cutthroat and eastern brown trout. Hunting for big game and upland birds. Camping, hiking, and horseback riding.

Special Note: Managed by cooperative agreement with the Washington Department of Wildlife as the Little Pend Oreille Wildlife Area.
