Directions: From downtown Tishomingo, follow Highway 78 to the eastern edge of town (watch for the refuge sign). Turn S on unnamed road at the High School. Follow road 3 miles to headquarters.

Primary Wildlife: Major flyway stop-over for migrating waterfowl, eagles, shorebirds, and other waterbirds.

Habitat: 16,464 acres consisting of lakes, river, streams, and woodland habitats.

Recreation and Education: Wildlife observation and photography, nature trail, fishing, public hunting area, and limited camping.

Special Note: The Refuge (and Lake Texoma) is a major wintering area for the bald eagle. As many as 102-eagles have been observed on the refuge during the wintering season.
