PO Box 5839
Ventura, CA 93005
(805)644-5185

Primary Wildlife: Traditional feeding and roosting habitat for the California condor. Also provides habitat for the San Joaquin kit fox, golden eagle, Southern bald eagle, and American peregrine falcon.

Habitat: 14,000 contiguous acres, mostly annual grasslands with some juniper and scrub oak with grass understory.

Recreation and Education: Public use is severely limited because of the sensitive situation of the California condor. The refuge can be viewed from the Cerro Noroeste Road..

Special Note: Currently one of the focal points for research activities toward recovery of the California condor.
